You're male. You're black. You're on the James Logan Forensics Team.
There is no way you can lose.

Why should you stay in Forenics? 1. It's hella fun. And you know it. 2. That feeling when you're in a round and you know you've beatin everybody, is the greatest feeling in the world. 3. If you weren't doing forensics, what would you really be doing? Badminton? 4. 98% of the kids on the forensics team go on to 4 year colleges. That's why!

If your saying give up badminton for forensics... haha you would have to be joking. One, I like... no love playing badminton. That's the truth, I'm not gonna taint it because what other people think of it. I couldn't ever join forensics over badminton... that's just me personally. Just like there's pro's to being on the forensics team, there's pro's to being on the badminton team - You get a work out (which ultimately keeps you in good shape), friends, good grades (yeah, after being around people with close to 5.0 for over two years... it kinda rubs off on you.), etc. People think they know what it's like to play badminton, but they don't know what it's like to play for a team. Once you get good, and your able to go back and forth with a person and be in "awhhhh" the total time you two are playing... well that's a a feeling that's so great. And that's the reason I stick with badminton.
Well, any wayz, just had to add in my two cents when I saw badminton mentioned, then later my name.

Everything you just said about Badminton, can be said about forensics. Except, maybe the thing about exercise, but last summer the debaters did run laps around Chavez. (thats not a normal thing though) People all on the forensics have high gpa's, take 1600s on the SAts, and are basically forced by Lindsey to tutor other kids in the forensics. And your comment about the feeling you get when you get so good that you can go back anf forth with somebody, and be in "aww" the whole time, or whatever. Is just like the feeling you get when you're so good at interp that people are crying when you're done with your DI (Dramatic Interp.), because you touched them with the performance you just gave. But I understand what you're saying when you say that people think they know what its like to be on the team, but its the same thing with forensics. People think you have to be hella smart and be a nerd or have to be asian. But the truth is that some of, if not THE best people in the forensics have been black, and the team was built with ghetto ass negroes. And the thing about making friends. When you go to tournaments in different states and you have to be around these people for long periods of time, it's hard not to make friends with them, and even harder to not see them as your family. But just like you and badminton, I wouldn't give up forensics for anything. I love it. Well thats just my opinion on the subject.
This post is so long, you probably didnt bother to read the whole thing. haha.
